Shawn Evenhaim

Founder & CEO

Shawn Evenhaim is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles-based California Home Builders, a Division of Evenhaim Industries Corp. With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Evenhaim is recognized as one of the leading residential in-fill developers in Los Angeles. As the CEO of California Home Builders Mr. Evenhaim has developed in excess of 2,000,000 square feet of various residential products and has extensive experience in the entitlements and development of a wide range of residential product types including custom homes, tract homes and multifamily projects.

Mr. Evenhaim has been a speaker on matters pertaining to entitlements, development and improving the way municipalities process development projects due to his expertise in the design, entitlements and the development process. Mr. Evenhaim served the City of Los Angeles in a number of development, planning and policy related capacities. Evenhaim was the visionary behind the Expediting Unit in the Los Angeles Planning Department and as was a Mayoral Appointee to its Development Reform Advisory Committee.

Shawn was born and raised in Israel.  After serving five years as an Officer for the Israeli Defense Force, Evenhaim arrived in the US.  In 1994 after serving as a President of an in-fill development company Shawn launched California Home Builders.

Mr. Evenhaim is very involved in community activities. In 2014 Evenhaim was selected as one of the top 50 Jewish-Americans who have made a significant impact on the Jewish story (The “Forward 50”). Shawn is passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children, strengthening the US Israel relationship and the Jewish Community.  He has served on many nonprofit organizations’ Board of Directors. This has included being the President of the Board of Kadima Day School, a school in which Evenhaim and his wife fund its campus, Co-Chair of the Jewish Federation’s Real Estate Professionals Organization (RPO). In 2015 Evenhaim end a term of 4 years as the Chairman of the Israeli American Council (IAC). Under Evenhaim’s leadership the IAC expended from a local small organization to a nationwide movement. Currently Evenhaim is serving on the boards of the IAC, The Jewish Federation, Kadima Day School and Birthright Israel Foundation.

Shawn and his wife Dorit are major benefactors to a number of organizations. These include the IAC, Kadima Day School, Stand With Us, the Jewish Federation and Birthright. The Evenhaims reside in Los Angeles with their three children.

Dorit Evenhaim

Partner – Deels Properties LP

Mrs. Evenhaim was born and raised in Israel. After serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, she immigrated to the USA. In 2001 Mrs. Evenhaim started Deels Properties LP, a real estate investment company that develops, purchases, and manages real estate including apartments and commercial properties. Mrs. Evenhaim was instrumental in establishing the company and developing the management programs for the company.

Kathryn Rudnick

Chief Operations Officer

Kathryn was born and raised in Illinois. After moving to California in 1988, she began working with a major national homebuilder in the purchasing department. Kathryn has been responsible for purchasing for thousands of tract homes. Prior to joining the California Home Builders Team in 2002, Kathryn managed projects ranging from large custom homes to multifamily projects. Kathryn joined the CHB team as Purchasing Agent for both multi-family and single-family construction projects. Kathryn has been an active member and has served on the board of directors for the Building Industry Association PASS Committee, the Residential Purchasing Council, and the National Association of Women in Construction.

Danny Lee

Vice President of Construction

Danny Lee was born and raised in Southern California and has worked in the construction field for over 20 years. In addition to construction education courses at Pierce College, Danny also has obtained his General Contractor’s License. Danny worked as a superintendent for some of the largest homebuilders in Southern California where he was in charge of the construction of thousands of homes. In 1997, Danny joined the California Home Builders Team as a Superintendent and soon after he was promoted to General Superintendent. As Vice President of Construction, Danny is in charge of the construction and scheduling for all of the company projects.

 Noam Hameiri

Senior Vice President of Real Estate Operations

Noam was born and raised in Israel. Noam is a graduate of the Israeli Military Academy corresponding to the U.S. Military Academy of West Point. After serving as an officer (ranked Major) in the Israel Defense Force for 8 years, Noam joined the real estate field and fulfilled several executive roles. Noam has 20+ years of experience in the development and leadership of high-performance teams and businesses. Noam is passionate about the development of real estate operations that are smart, efficient and goals oriented. Noam possesses a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), graduated Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Derby (UK), a Masters’ Degree in International Affairs – Security studies (graduated Magna Cum Laude) from Tel-Aviv University (Israel) and a Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude in Political Science from Haifa University (Israel). Noam relocated in the United States in 2008 and joined California Home Builders in 2011. Noam is a Forbes Real Estate Council member.

Andrea Wolff


Andrea was born and raised in Southern California. Prior to joining California Home Builders in 1994 Andrea was employed for 10 years with a textiles manufacturer. Andrea has been with California Home Builders since its inception and was instrumental in developing the office management and accounting systems that California Home Builders currently utilizes.

Matt Modrzejewski

Vice President of Land Development 

Matt Modrzejewski was born and raised in California.   He has worked in real estate development for over 10 years, specializing in entitlements, due diligence, pre-construction project management, and community outreach.  Prior to joining California Home Builders, Matt worked at one of L.A.’s largest privately-owned infill housing developers, helping entitle numerous housing tracts and condos ranging from 10 to 267 units throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.  Prior to his work in real estate development, Matt worked for the City of L.A. under Mayor James K. Hahn in the Office of Management and Budget.  He is a graduate of UC San Diego.


Natalie Bledsoe

Administrative Assistant to the CEO

Natalie was born and raised in Santa Clarita, California. While earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business- Finance at California State University, Northridge, she began working at a mortgage company in the San Fernando Valley. Looking for a career change, she joined the California Home Builders Team in May 2008 providing administrative support to the company executives and assisting various departments.

Lisa Lenig

Purchasing Manager

Lisa was born and raised in Southern California and recently relocated to Camarillo, in Ventura County. Lisa joined CHB in 2007 in the Purchasing Department, as Purchasing Agent for all construction projects for California Home Builders. Prior to joining California Home Builders, she was employed for 7 years with a major national builder in the Purchasing Department. Lisa was responsible for purchasing several tracts and managed the options program there. Lisa has been an active member of the Building Industry Association and a board member on the Residential Purchasing Council.


Cindy Woodhead

Sales Manager

Cindy Woodhead was born and raised in southern California and has a passion for new home development and all that goes into creating home ownership.  She holds a California Brokers License and has over 17 years experience managing the successful sell out of over 20 communities statewide with over 1 billion dollars in closed transactions.  Prior to joining California Home Builders, Cindy spent 10 years as Sales and Marketing Director for a private master plan builder responsible for the sales and marketing of all projects statewide.  Most recently she worked with one of LA’s premier sports and entertainment groups to market and sell their first luxury high-rise condominium project in downtown Los Angeles.


John Severino

Director of Multifamily Construction

John was born and raised in New York, where he earned a degree in Construction Technology. He moved to California in 1997 and has managed and directed construction projects for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining CHB, John built multifamily projects for companies such as Shea Properties, Fairfield and AvalonBay, among others.


Emilie Buck

Accounts Payable Administrator

Emilie is a native Californian, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. After working multiple part time jobs in various industries, she found a family and full time position at California Home Builders in 2013. Hired as the receptionist, Emilie showed initiative and was quickly promoted to Sales Coordinator. She has now taken on the role of Accounts Payable Administrator and is in charge of processing payments and bookkeeping for all projects.

Michael Buck

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Michael is native to the San Fernando Valley. Coming from a background in retail work, he found a family at California Home Builders in 2015 as a temp worker, providing administrative support to the company executives and assisting with the filing and organization department. Michael now manages the company’s social media outlets and has a hand in the sales contracting process.

Desiree Fink

Contract Administrator

Desiree was born and raised in Camarillo, California. She previously worked for the State of California as a culinary teacher. Wanting a career change, she found a wonderful home at California Home Builders in 2015 as a Contract Administrator. In her free time, she enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kevin Crosby


Kevin was born and raised in Southern California.  After graduating from Texas A&M University with his Masters in Urban Planning, Kevin moved to West Texas for three years working for the City of Midland’s Planning division where he was quickly promoted, ultimately serving as interim Planning Manager for six months.  After returning to Southern California in 2016, Kevin joined California Home Builders’ Land Development team in 2017.  In his spare time Kevin enjoys cheering on the fighting Texas Aggie football team and spending time with his wife and two dogs.


Sarah Stockham

Assistant Planner

Sarah grew up in a military family but calls Tucson, Arizona home. She is currently completing her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA with a focus in housing and community development. Prior to joining the CHB team, she was a bilingual teacher with Teach for America in Fort Worth, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her corgi and exploring LA.

Sarah Gardner

Administrative Assistant

Sarah was born and raised in Southern California. She attended California State University, Northridge and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Business Management. She previously worked in the cosmetics industry for over nine years before joining the California Home Builders team in 2015. Sarah now provides administrative support to company executives and other team members at California Home Builders.

Camelia Blackwell

Administrative Assistant

Camelia was born and raised in Southern California. Prior to joining the California Home Builders team in 2016, she spent two years as an Assistant Property Manager in the San Fernando Valley. Now, she manages customer relations and coordination at the front desk, all while providing administrative support to the company executives.

Scott Davenport

Customer Service Manager

Scott was born in Newport Beach, California and raised in West Hills. Scott began working in the construction industry in 1984 for a custom wood fabrication shop. Since 1989 Scott has worked in the Customer Service departments for some of the largest homebuilding firms in the Los Angeles/Ventura County regions. Scott has been involved in the warranty and customer service for thousands of homes. Scott joined California Home Builders in 1997 as Customer Service Manager for all projects.

Steve Poncar

Project Superintendent

Steve was born and raised in Michigan. After moving to Southern California in 1986 Steve began doing remodeling and insurance renovation work. He then moved on to work for a large, national builder in Customer Service and Project Supervision roles. Steve began his career with California Home Builders as Superintendent in 1998 and has since supervised many CHB projects. Steve is currently supervising both single family and custom home construction projects at California Home Builders.

Sean Brown

Project Superintendent

Sean is a native Californian raised in the San Fernando Valley. Sean has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining California Home Builders in 2002, Sean worked for one of the larger, national homebuilders in Southern California. His experience includes the supervision of many multi-family and single-family projects. In addition to holding a General Contractor’s License, Sean also headed a renovation/remodeling company for 4 years. Sean currently supervises project construction for both single-family homes and multi-family projects at California Home Builders.


Wes Carrico

Construction Superintendent

Wes brings nearly 20 years of construction experience to California Home Builders. He has supervised new home construction for many of the largest builders in Southern California where he honed his attention to detail and professional knowledge. Wes joined California Home Builders because he was impressed with the outstanding quality, “Shawn’s houses are a lot better than the competitors,” he says. Wes would know, coming from a family tradition of construction. He grew up watching his father, a career construction worker, build homes. Wes currently supervises construction of multifamily and single family homes projects for the company.


Fabian Fernandez


Fabian was born and raised in Mexicali, Mexico. At the age of 17, he came to live in the United States. His skills as a welder led him to a job with Wilcox & Wilcox Sewer Corp, where he became a foreman and helped organize and supervise the installation of sewer and underground utilities. In 2009, Fabian joined California Home Builders as an Assistant Superintendent. He has worked for California Home Builders on residential projects including single family entry level homes as well as his current assignment assisting in the supervision of project construction on a multi-family building with subterranean parking.

Gary Thompson


Gary was born and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia and moved to California in 1975. He has been in the construction field over 35 years. He started out doing custom framing on high end homes, one which was featured on the cover of Unique Homes Magazine. He moved up to Construction Management in 1990 where he has worked on single family homes, apartment buildings, condominium projects, and commercial buildings. He is a licensed contractor and previously held a California Real Estate License.
